Sacred Solitude
By Regina Garson

as the barren trees of life's departure
must death before rebirth
without genesis, there is no resurrection
so embrace the cold isolation
the chill of the twilight
and the longest night of the year

this before renewal
must needs of the respite of sacred solitude
